A dashboard is a visual display of the most important information needed to achieve one or more objectives; consolidated and arranged on a single screen so the information can be monitored at a glance.

Case Study : Stor-h

Create an Ipad application in order to help companies manage their fleet of hydrogen-fueled vehicles taking advantage of Stor-h's exchangeable hydrogen tank technology

Employees can freely exchange their used tank for a new full one using Stor-h's network of stations

Using Stor-h's removable hydrogen tank technology, employees can exchange their empty hydrogen tank for a new full one. To do so, they can use the map and GPS functionalities in order to search for stations around them.

Administrators- can overview their company's fleet of vehicles easily

Administrators can manage the company's subscription plan and purchase vehicles as well as related accessories through Stor-h's catalogue.

Course of the project

Stor-h contacted me to design a demonstrator for a business event in Geneva, Switzerland, that would showcase how organisations could take advantage of Stor-h's services and technologies in order to manage a fleet of hydrogen-fuelled vehicles.

The goal of this demonstrator is to convince potential future buyers that employee and HR executives can make the transition to hydrogen mobility easily. By doing so they would reduce their emission of CO2 and prove themselves to be acting toward reducing their impact on global warming.

Step 1 - Site map

Step 2 - High fidelity wireframes

Step 3 - Prototype

Step 4 - Iteration on the navigation

Step 5 - Translation in Chinese

User Groups

I built a demonstrator for Ipad showing their application's main functionalities, based on the needs of 2 groups of users, Human ressources executives (the administrators of the application) and the employees of the company.

Employees, drivers of hydrogen vehicles
HR department, administrators of the fleet

Step 1 - Screen Flows

I first created an exhaustive list of the functionalities that I will have to design and I later turned them into a map (screen flows) that I then handed to the manager, Bérenice Bos, so we could structure our work and meetings.

Step 2 - High Fidelity Wireframes & Prototyping

At this point, I would normaly go through the design of a first low fidelity prototype that I would have tested with users to gather feedback.

As this was only a demonstrator presenting a concept, the application wasn't going to be used by real users, and considering the short deadline , we took a lean aproach to design, working straight on the final design directly after the screen flows.

Step 3 - Iteration & Translation in chinese

Later in the year, for a business event in Shangai Stor-h was participating in, I made a version of the demonstrator in Chinese. We improved the navigation of the app and I added new products to the catalogue along the way.

As I am not a Chinese speaker, I asked the chinese team to evaluate the readability of text, titles and the understandability of icons for the Chinese market.

Conclusion

I worked in a fast-paced environment, building the first prototype in a month.

It was motivating for me to work on a project that helps organizations to be more sustainable, by reducing global emission of Co2.
